Our rooms

In our 400 years old historic house and in the new building you will find a total of 20 individually furnished rooms and suites. All of them have their own bathroom with shower or bathtub and a toilet. A selection of free digital TV and radio channels are at your disposal. Some double rooms have been recently refurbished and have an attractive bathroom. An elevator takes you and your luggage effortlessly to the upper floors of the hotel. Look forward to free Internet access (WLAN and LAN) and a delicious Swiss breakfast.

Our breakfast room is also your lounge. Your are welcome to prepare your own tea during the day. In Summer you can relax on the non-smoking sun deck in comfortable armchairs. Here you can read an exciting book in peace and quiet. You can also enjoy your breakfast on the sun deck – in German “Sonnendeck”.

Our one and only single room is compact and suits guests who stay for a short time. The bed is of 120 x 200 cm size.

The two compact double rooms are located on the ground floor near the reception with a view of the sun deck behind the house. They are equipped with double beds of 160 x 200 cm size and possess rain showers.

Our double rooms (16 – 24 m2) are located in the historic house and in the new building. The charming rooms in the old building are furnished with love to detail, the rooms in the new building have a bright bathroom.

Adler Suite 34 m2 - from CHF 270

The Adler Suite is located under the baroque gable on the 3rd floor and is equipped with two single beds (twin beds) made of solid walnut wood.

Make yourself comfortable on Biedermeier furniture and admire a (non-functional) tiled stove. It is a room with a great view of the Adlerplatz, the river and a work of art by Roman Signer. The couch can be transformed easily into a bed of 140 x 190 cm. It is therefore also popular among families.

Broger Suite 46 m2 - from CHF 280

for 2 adults & 2 children

In 1825, the “Wirtschaft zum Schwarzer Adler” was housed in the Broger Suite on the 2nd floor. The bedroom is equipped with two single beds. In the living room there is a sofa bed (140 x 180cm) and a 400-year-old wooden knitted wall.

Impressive views of the river – Sitter – and the magnificent “Hoher Kasten” are guaranteed. Both suites have a coffee machine.

Relax in the backyard in comfortable armchairs and/or on a cozy bench in the warmer season of the year. Of course, you may also enjoy your breakfast here and soak up the morning sun.

During lunchtime in Summer it might be too hot though there are parasols. Most guests prefer it after 4 p.m.. For example to read an exciting book. Or simply to review the impressions of the day.
